At any rate, I personally chose to not play this on mobile. Well, the game was available for Windows Phone 8 and Windows 10 Mobile but Gameloft dropped support for it, alongside support for Windows RT (which was basically Windows on ARM). Then again, why would Windows Update 53 if they knew Gameloft was planning to do this?Īgain, this is all speculation and theory, but what do you think is happening that Windows players can't get the update? So maybe the Gameloft staff have to go and renegotiate and even prove why the game needs to go in the direction they went, but perhaps Microsoft execs will hold their ground and basically say "either put the game back to the way it was, where Windows cannot Mingle with Android and Apple, or we'll drop all support for the game from our Microsoft store for good. So when the game asked for the Microsoft Store to update the game to update 54, Microsoft basically said no and pulled the supported game for violating Microsoft terms and services or whatever, similar to Apple and Fortnite a while back. The likely problem is that some Windows staff had found out what the game is doing, and it's likely causing all sorts of problems, intentionally or otherwise, even a loss of revenue or whatever. So for Update 53, the game decided to make it more open and able to switch between systems and such so Windows players can continue their games on their Android and Apple phones and such. Microsoft dosen't have a Windows phone to compete with Android and Apple, so Windows players are stuck playing on PC, which they have to be at home to play, limiting screen time (and incentives for purchases). If a Windows player wanted to switch and play the game on an Android or Apple platform, they have to go through a painful process of contacting Gameloft and switching, which could take a long time.

Maybe it's a competitive and/or compatibility clause or whatever. Up until Update 53, Windows have always been separate from Apple and Android, in that data from Apple and Android devices cannot mix with Windows. This is a speculative theory on what I think happened with Update 54 not going through with Windows, but I could be 100% wrong, and I'd gladly hear from those who has more know-how on what's happening, but here's my theory.
